"Vijay is shooting for Varisus last schedule in Chennai and the team is set to complete it by October 27. After which, he will take a short break and jump on to his next for Lokesh Kanagaraj (Thalapathy 67)," revealed the source.

Varisu is an emotional entertainer that features Vijay in a new avatar. 

It is directed by Vamsi Paidipally, who is best known for directing films such as Yavadu and Maharshi. Varisu's screenplay is jointly penned by Paidipally, Hari, and Ahishor Solomon. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and marks her first collaboration with the mass hero. 

The cast includes R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, and Prakash Raj, among others. Varisu is set to open in theatres this Pongal.
