The cabinet reshuffle follows Nitish Kumar’s election as a Rajya Sabha MP, a transition that marks the end of his tenure as a 10-time Chief Minister. He is expected to tender his resignation tomorrow, April 1.
However, party sources confirmed to India Today that Nishant has dismissed the possibilities, saying that he wants to focus on the organisational responsibilities, something he mentioned during his time of induction.
As sources from the Lok Bhawan (the official residence and office of the Governor of Bihar) confirmed, the new cabinet will take oath on April 15, around 11 am.
Before the swearing-in ceremony, Shravan Kumar, a Bihar minister and a close aide of Nitish Kumar, met Samrat Chowdhury at the latter’s residence. The two had a 20-minute-long conversation.
