There is no stopping Spider-Man: No Way Home as it has become the biggest film of 2021 in India. Tom Holland-starrer was released on December 16, 2021, and soon became the biggest opening movie of the year in India.
Now, Spider-Man: No Way Home has earned Rs 260 crore at the India box office and this makes the film the biggest release of 2021 in the country.
Given the surge in Covid-19 cases in India, many cities have imposed partial lockdown. This includes shutting down the theatres. Before the increase in Covid-19 cases, Spider-Man's success gave a huge lift to the box-office recovery. It also gave a new life to the cinemas across all parts of India.
Since its premiere, the film broke multiple records, including the one for the highest-grossing movie worldwide and in India post the pandemic. \
As of now, Spider-Man: No Way Home has earned Rs 260 crore Gross Box Office Collection (GBOC) and Rs 202 crore Net Box Office Collection (NBOC).
The Tom Holland and Zendaya-starrer had the widest release ever for any Hollywood film in India. The movie released on 3264 screens.
Show timings for the film in Mumbai commenced as early as 4 am! Spider-Man: No Way Home garnered a total box office collection of $587 million worldwide in the first weekend, breaking all post-pandemic records for a film.
